She has recently got designation of Professor in December, 2021. As the Head of department and member of Board of studies in business management in Mumbai University, she has expertise in varied subjects such as marketing, human resource management, principles of management, marketing research organization behavior and many more subjects under Faculty of Commerce and Management. She is recognized guide for Doctor of Philosophy in the subject of Business Policy and Administration under Faculty of Commerce from University of Mumbai. She has strong impact of the field of research with total of more than 30 research papers publications in national and international journals. Under her guidance 05 students are perusing Ph.D.

He has presented research-based papers at various conferences in India. He also has conducted various national level and international level conferences workshops, webinars and faculty development programmes, cultural education programmes at BTTC. He has also conducted various cultural education programmes in collaboration with Global Dialogue Foundation and with other HSNC Board Colleges.

He has guided eight M.Ed. students while pursuing M.Ed. programme with the University of Mumbai. He has guided B.Ed. students while undertaking various action research projects on contemporary educational issues. He has completed the Minor Research Project funded by the University of Mumbai along with is colleague. He has also completed Major Research Project funded by UGC along with his former Principal Dr. Mintu Sinha. He also has guided several research scholars in completing their research assignments.

As a coordinator, Dr. Balani has conducted one refresher course on the theme - “E- learning and E-governance” for HRDC University of Mumbai and has conducted one short-term course on the theme - “Outcome-based education for teacher effectiveness” for HRDC University of Mumbai.

She started her carrier as Advocate. After practicing she joined academics as a Part - time faculty of VPM’s TMC Law College, Thane and later she joined as a Full-time faculty of G. J. Advani Law College, Bandra, Mumbai. She also served as a Principal for more than 8 years in the said College at Bandra and currently she is Principal at K. C. Law College, Mumbai. Thus, she has an experience of holding position of Principal at two law colleges and her main areas of interest are Family Laws, Human Rights and issues related to women.

Looking at her ardor and knowledge in the field of law she became member of Mumbai Legal Aid Services Authority appointed by the Government of Maharashtra. She is presently the Member of Board of Studies, Faculty of Law and Visiting Faculty, Dept. of Law, University of Mumbai. She is also a guide for Ph.D. in Law at University of Mumbai and JJT University, Rajasthan. Dr. Kavita Lalchandani is also the member of Editorial committee for Journal. She is also a member of various other committees at University of Mumbai. She was the Member of Internal Complaints Committee in one of the Corporate firms.

With all these qualities Dr. Kavita Lalchandani is the recipient of various awards:

• Received the ‘Bharat Shiksha Ratan Award’ by Achievers Association for Health and Education Growth, New Delhi.
• Received ‘Best Educationist Award’, Dr. Radhakrishnan Memorial Award by International Human Rights Council, Mumbai.
• Received ‘Rashtriya Mahila Gaurav Samman’ in the field of education by AKP News, New Delhi.

Dr. Kavita Lalchandani has also published many articles in reputed journals and has also presented many papers at International, National and State Level Conferences and Seminars. She has been invited as a Panel Member of Lok Adalat conducted by Mumbai Legal Aid Services Authority. She is invited as a Resource Persons in Seminars, Conferences and lectures across the count.
