Dr. Bhagwan Balani is a Registrar of HSNC University, Mumbai. He also holds an additional charge as Dean of Faculty of Humanities. He is also in-charge Principal of Bombay Teachers ‘Training College, one of the premier colleges of teacher education and a constituent college of HSNC University. He has been heading BTT College for the last four years.
Dr. Balani has done his doctorate on developing a quality assurance model of teacher education programmes. He has got recognition as a Teacher of the University (Post Graduate Teaching) for M.Ed. & M.A. Degree (by papers) in Education. He has got teaching experience of 19 years in the B.Ed. Colleges. He has taught subjects like Research Methodology, Educational Evaluation, Teaching of Mathematics, Teaching of Science, Population Education, Environmental Education, Action Research, Understanding Disciplines, and School Subjects, Assessment for Learning and Gender School and society. He has also taught Research Methodology to the students pursuing M.A. Education with the institute of distance learning and open learning (IDOL) of the University of Mumbai.
He has presented research-based papers at various conferences in India. He also has conducted various national level and international level conferences workshops, webinars and faculty development programmes, cultural education programmes at BTTC. He has also conducted various cultural education programmes in collaboration with Global Dialogue Foundation and with other HSNC Board Colleges.
He has guided eight M.Ed. students while pursuing M.Ed. programme with the University of Mumbai. He has guided B.Ed. students while undertaking various action research projects on contemporary educational issues. He has completed the Minor Research Project funded by the University of Mumbai along with is colleague. He has also completed Major Research Project funded by UGC along with his former Principal Dr. Mintu Sinha. He also has guided several research scholars in completing their research assignments.
As a coordinator, Dr. Balani has conducted one refresher course on the theme - “E- learning and E-governance” for HRDC University of Mumbai and has conducted one short-term course on the theme - “Outcome-based education for teacher effectiveness” for HRDC University of Mumbai.
